Police seek woman missing 4-plus years

Police are still seeking leads on a 73-year-old Hilo woman who’s been missing more than four years.

Glynda Evangelista was last seen on April 24, 2017, on Kilauea Avenue in Hilo. She’s described as 5-foot-four-inches tall, about 200 pounds, with salt-and-pepper hair, hazel eyes and wearing prescription glasses. When last seen, she was wearing a dark jacket and orange and yellow floral dress and carrying a blue backpack.

Evangelista is considered endangered due to a medical condition that requires medication.

Anyone with information on her disappearance and/or whereabouts is asked to call the police department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
